Recently, There was a brutal rape incident that took place in Telangana which shocked the entire government and parliament leading to various arguments and debates.
The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India made an inquiry related to this incident with some panel of members and made an inquiry commission. This Commission was composed of the former judge of the Hon’ble Supreme Court and senior advocate of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India as a panel of the Commission.
The Commission had to make its report within six months but due to the Covid-19 situation had chances of holding the meeting only a few times so it had to extend.
But during the first public hearing of the Inquiry Panel police came under fire in the first encounter of 2019.
Though the government officials need to be more verified with the records and the required documents as it plays an important part in affidavits and other stuff. It appears that government needs to be more active and responsible for its claims and need to see omissions in the procedures followed by them during the investigation of the rape case.
