In India, we adhere to the principles of equality, fraternity, secularism, and socialism which are enshrined in our preamble. We have different cultures, religions, castes in our country such as Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, and Christian mainly also others. The preamble of our country aims to treat every religion equally in India.

However, we face unjust and unequal relations between some religions or caste or in some other issues also. Similarly, recently Minority Hindu community filed in the Supreme Court against the order of Kerala High Court Judgement quashing the government scheme allotting 80 percent Minority Scholarship to Muslims.

Basically, these orders aimed for the benefit of the unprivileged section of society and for the social upliftment of Muslim Society which is at some point right but 80% scholarship is a much higher percentage which is unfair to Hindu and other religions.

The plea submitted that “The high court has failed to appreciate the distinction between the backward community and minority community”.

This is to be noted that major focus and sole purpose is to uplift Muslim Society neglecting other section of society.

The High Court overlooked this issue while directing the judgment and also the concept of the fundamental principle of justice and equality which is enshrined not only in our constitution but also in the preamble.

To conclude, the State should treat every religion equally, else sooner or later it will result in riots or exploitation which is harmful to the growth of our country.
